9 Month Fixed Term Contract
£26,000 pro rata, plus benefits
39 hours per week
Monday and Friday 8.30am-4.30pm and Saturday and Sunday 6am-6pm
This system engineering company supplies electro-mechanical hardware to customers across the UK. The equipment includes ticket vending machines, pedestrian turnstiles / gates and PC equipment. Products are IT networked and maintained to ensure 24/7 operational availability to customers.
As Service Desk Supervisor, you will oversee a team working across 24/7 shifts to maintain the company’s applications and services. You will have full autonomy for resolving incidents and service requests reported by customers, achieving first line fixes where possible. You will escalate issues and work with other business units and 3rd parties as required.
You will resolve on-shift resourcing and personnel issues and support the team by overseeing day to day operational service delivery against SLAs which include monitoring and reporting on KPIs.
You should have proven experience in a role supporting customers with technical issues, ideally within an IT or technical helpdesk environment at supervisory level. You should also have excellent communication skills. Due to the shifts falling into unsociable hours you will be required to drive and have your own transport to get to work.
